Tatjana Rediko is a concert cellist, chamber music and orchestral artist, and author of cross-genre projects. Born in Riga, she was invited to study in Germany as a prize winner of several international competitions, where she received her diploma (2011) and master's degree (2015) at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln.
During her studies, the cellist was awarded with further prizes, both as a soloist and as a chamber musician. This was followed by the "Special Prize" of the Boris Pergamentchikov Chamber Music Competition, the "Cologne Chamber Music Competition", the "Deutschlandstipendium" of the HfMT Cologne. In addition, the musician is included in the concert program of Yehudi Menuhin "Live Music Now", she received an Italian cello (Vincenzo Panormo, 1774 ) from the "German Musical Instrument Foundation".
The cellist takes part in many concerts and festivals, also with orchestra accompaniment, in different countries and also perfects her playing in numerous master classes. As a teenager, Tatjana was invited for private lessons by the legendary cellist Mstislav Rostropovich, and since then she has been constantly gaining new playing experience, both with world-famous cellists and with violin and piano professors such as Zakhar Bron, Evgeny Sinainski and Viktor Tretyakov.
Critics and prominent musicians emphasize her brilliant virtuosity, strong artistic individuality, convincing interpretation and fine sense of sound.
GRAD Percussion Duo and Tatjana Rediko present their new concert program "Light and Passion".
The bright, almost surreal sound of the vibraphone, hanging in the air, merges with the warm tones of the marimba, which unexpectedly changes from the clarity of the virtuoso passages to the room-filling organ sound. The soulful cello singing, in which subtle shades of emotion are embodied, completes this breathtaking synthesis.
In this extraordinary mixture of sounds, the listeners can expect an astonishing musical experience - new dimensions of the well-known works will be presented as well as contemporary compositions, including several world premieres. Chorales by J. S. Bach, music from very different epochs and styles - tango, jazz, minimalism, classical modernism - as well as melodies and rhythms from different countries will be heard.
The ensemble consists of two independent duos: Tatjana Rediko and Andrei Pushkarev combined cello and vibraphone on stage, Andrei Pushkarev and Pavel Beliaev perform together as GRAD percussion duo.
